CORPORATE RUTS
“I act as a neutral sounding board and through a series of techniques and questions, I can help you find some solutions..”
I have an integrated approach, allowing you time to explore and identify your self-limiting behaviours and beliefs. My style is supportive yet challenging, informal, honest and friendly.
By creating a trusting working relationship, I can challenge and support you in making positive behavioural change in your life. It’s an enjoyable process and very rewarding if you commit and you get to spend a few hours focussing on yourself totally and utterly, and working out your strengths and building confidence and competence.
I have helped clients from a diverse set of backgrounds to find their ‘True North’. By following a process and being actively listened to, clients with varying issues have unlocked true insight. There are many commonalties across different professions from education, medical research, IT, Fashion and Banking.
I am a qualified parenting teacher and I was the author of a qualitative research project into the management of maternity leave. My coaching qualification is from Henley Business School, accredited by the ICF (International Coaching Federation). I am a volunteer coach for Smart Works, a charity helping women back into work. I also work on the fundraising committee for a mental health charity.
“It’s quite incredible how much you have helped in such a short space of time. Thank you for helping me ‘see' more clearly. I have a blind spot regarding my own strengths and personality traits. What you are showing me is invaluable, how I ‘frame’ situations and conduct myself moving forwards.”

THE TYPICAL PROCESS

GREATER WORK FULFILMENT
I have an integrated approach which leads the client and I to carefully identify the issues to resolve. The important work doesn’t necessarily stem from the first issue to be identified. The advantage of a bespoke approach is that together we work on an overarching goal, with each session focussing on a different angle or a new topic all together. The agenda is set by you.
To have a trained practitioner actively listening to you as you explain your situation can be very powerful as many conversations in life are transactional and the other person has their own opinion to convey. As your coach I am probing, offering an alternative way to behave, and holding up a metaphorical mirror to you.
I like to start the relationship with a ‘phone call in which you describe in broad detail the issues you would like to discuss. Then by the time we meet in person, or on-line, I have had the chance to consider the information you have shared with me.
Depending on whether you are a private or a corporate client the number of sessions we have together will vary. The topics cover often stray into the category of life, as opposed to work. All are admissible!
I have a generous attitude to out-of-session support in the form of sourcing articles, podcasts and relevant tailored content to enhance growth and understanding. Part of my strength as a coach is to be empathetic and challenging, co-creating a relationship where I can act as an accountability partner. I help you by creating agreed deadlines; I am the guide to success and you deliver on the work in time for our next session. We work together to achieve the outcome you are seeking. My perfect client is one committed to their stated goal, who is prepared to work with focus.
It all starts with a conversation.
We start with a half hour phone conversation in which we chat about your issues and what you are hoping to gain. We get a sense of each other and whether our working relationship will be successful.
If you are interested in a no obligation chat, please get in touch. So much of the success of the relationship relies on us being a good ‘match,’ so let’s start by having a no obligation conversation.
“I’ve enjoyed each session with Sarah and found the coaching process extremely helpful.”
